GUERRA DE ENCUESTAS EN BOLIVIA: Morales asegura que lidera las encuestas junto a Tuto Quiroga
El expresidente Evo Morales aseguró que, según encuestas no financiadas por el gobierno, lidera la preferencia electoral junto al exmandatario Jorge Tuto Quiroga, proyectando que ambos disputarían una eventual segunda vuelta.
Según Morales, un análisis reciente basado en estas encuestas le otorga el 25.5% de intención de voto, seguido por Jorge Tuto Quiroga con el 21.5%, Manfred Reyes Villa con el 8.3%, Andrónico Rodríguez con el 4.7% y Luis Arce con apenas el 0.7%.
En ese contexto, sostuvo que la insistencia de Arce en postularse nuevamente a la presidencia es una estrategia para debilitar al MAS-IPSP, comparándolo con lo que denominó un intento de eliminación del partido durante la crisis política de 2019.
También afirmó que la oposición ha fracasado en los comicios, recordando que candidatos como Carlos Mesa y Tuto Quiroga nunca lograron ganar una elección, mientras que Manfred Reyes Villa, tras perder la gobernación, se exilió en Estados Unidos.
En tono irónico, Morales mencionó a Samuel Doria Medina, señalando que “es consecuente, candidato para perder”.
Asimismo, afirmó que la única esperanza de la derecha es que él no sea candidato y acusó a Luis Arce de actuar en favor de ese escenario. “Otra prueba de que Lucho es derecha-derecha”, afirmó.
Durante su programa dominical, Morales reiteró sus críticas al presidente Arce, a quien calificó como líder de un gobierno neoliberal y de derecha. Argumentó que su trayectoria incluye haber sido funcionario del Banco Central de Bolivia (BCB) por recomendación de Antonio Sánchez de Lozada, hermano del expresidente Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada, y por sus presuntos vínculos con el Movimiento Nacionalista Revolucionario (MNR).
Según el exmandatario, cuando Arce trabajaba en el BCB, habría facilitado la salida de Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada del país con 50 millones de dólares tras su derrocamiento en 2003.
Morales sostuvo que, al conformar su primer gabinete, desconocía los antecedentes de Arce y que fue Álvaro García Linera quien le informó sobre su trabajo con Carlos Villegas en el equipo económico.
En ese sentido, pidió disculpas a la población por haberlo nombrado ministro de Economía sin conocer sus presuntas conexiones con la derecha y afirmó que, según diversas versiones, Arce ni siquiera militó en el Partido Socialista.
Asimismo, reiteró que ni Arce ni Villegas participaron en la nacionalización de los hidrocarburos, política que –según él– fue impulsada por su gobierno junto a García Linera y expertos internacionales.
También aseguró que Arce se oponía a la concesión de bonos por temor a generar inflación y prefería recurrir a la deuda externa para sostener la economía.
Finalmente, Morales acusó a la actual gestión de retornar al neoliberalismo y de aliarse con Estados Unidos, mencionando que el embajador de Bolivia en Venezuela, Sebastián Michel, habría pactado un apoyo a la candidata opositora María Corina Machado.
