Incendio en un mercado de Quillacollo dejó 9 heridos
La explosión de una garrafa en el mercado Central de Quillacollo dejó nueve heridos este viernes. El hecho se registró al promediar las 7:30 y alarmó a comerciantes y comensales, quienes tuvieron que ser evacuados por los bomberos.
El incidente se habría originado en el sector de la venta de comidas y obligó a suspender la atención.
El comandante regional de la Policía de Quillacollo, Roger Costas, explicó que lo ocurrido fue una “deflagración de gas licuado” y personal de bomberos investigas las circunstancias en las que ocurrió el hecho.
«Esta en proceso de investigación para poder determinar cual fue la chispa que inició la deflagración del gas que estaba ya en el ambiente, producto de esto han resultado heridas seis personas, entre las señoras que vendía y comensales, a esto se suman bomberos, todos están centros médicos de Quillacollo y Cochabamba recibiendo atención», aseveró.
El impacto de la explosión dañó los vidrios del comedor del mercado y otros enseres.
El incendio ocasionado en un mercado de Quillacollo, que dejó 9 heridos, pudo haberse evitado si las vendedoras hubieran hecho caso a las recomendaciones del personal de bomberos que quiso supervisar en la víspera la posible fuga de gas, afirmó el comandante de la Policía de Cochabamba, coronel Edson Claure.
“El día de ayer (jueves) personal de bomberos se acercaron al lugar en el sentido de hacer la verificación de la situación, tanto de las cocinas y del estado de las conexiones de gas que se tenían en el lugar, no tenían una respuesta positiva de parte de las propietarias”, señaló.
El hecho ocurrió a las 07h30 en el sector de comida del Mercado Central de Quillacollo, la explosión dejó a 9 personas heridas por deflagración de gas licuado en el aire.
Antes de lo ocurrido, las comerciantes notificaron a Bomberos de la existencia de una garrafa de la cual salía gas; cuando se identificó, personal de bomberos empezó a vaciar el contenido y solicitó a los comerciantes apagar todas las cocinas o cualquier llama encendida.
“Una de las señoras que tiene un puesto en el lugar no había hecho caso a la recomendación y habría encendido la cocina, lo que provocó la explosión y el incendio en el lugar”, manifestó el coronel.
La explosión dejó a seis comensales y tres policías de Bomberos heridos, que fueron trasladados al hospital, además de ocasionar destrozos en las instalaciones.
